Training-of-Trainers Course on Sweet Potato Opens at KNUST

The training-of-trainers course on “Everything You Need to Know about Sweet Potato” organised by the Department of Food Science and Technology of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) was held from 1^st to 12^th February, 2016 in Kumasi. The training was organised in conjunction with International Potato Center (CIP) and involved stakeholders from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA), Crop Research Institute, researchers, Women in Agriculture and food processors. There were 33 participants from Ghana, Nigeria and Liberia. After the training, participants indicated they were ready to train others by signing an action plan providing details on how they are going to carry out the training in their respective districts or countries. They established a social platform for collaboration with their facilitators and share their stories.
