Agnes Dzigbordi Aku Nyamalor, an agent of change of the Trainer-of-Trainers: Everything-you-need-to-know-about-sweetpotato course held in Ghana, took part in a one-day exhibition of sweetpotato products during the National Farmer’s day at Todome, South Dayi district in the Volta Region of Ghana. The event took place on the 4th of November, 2016. Some of the products exhibited included sweetpotato gari mix and pastry products.
She was also involved in the exhibition of sweetpotato products during the 7th Africa Day for Food and Nutrition Security (ADFNS) held in Tang Palace hotel, Accra, Ghana from 26th – 28th October, 2016.
The exhibition of sweetpotato products during both events were sponsored by CIP-Ghana.
In the past months, she has – through Women in Agricultural Development (WIAD) of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) – passed on the training she went through, during the course to citizens of Adaklu Aziedokope and Ahumgakope in the Volta Region of Ghana. Participants were trained on products from OFSP vines and roots such as, waakye, banku, pastry products – like bread, buff loaf and cake – non alcoholic beverages and many more.
She works with WIAD (Women in Agricultural Development) under the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA), Ghana and is helping to promote sweetpotato and its products in the Volta Region of Ghana.
