Dear members of the Sweetpotato Community of Practice,
2016 certainly has been a landmark year for biofortification and orange-fleshed sweetpotato. It is a time for all of us to celebrate the work we have been doing. Here at CIP, Robert, Maria and I are certainly honored to be recognized for our work, which is only possible because of our joint efforts. The presentation shows some of the many highlights from 2016. Climate and socio-economic challenges continue to keep us on our toes in spite of all of the accolades. But the momentum continues to build for integrated agriculture-nutrition and I look forward to working with all of you in 2017 to continue to strive to make our SPHI 2020 goal a reality.
