Announcing the 8th Annual Sweetpotato for Profit and Health Initiative Technical Meeting

The 8th Annual Sweetpotato for Profit and Health Initiative (SPHI) Meeting will be held from 24^th through 27^th September 2017 at the Ramada Resort in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, followed by a field trip to the Morogoro area 27-29^th September.  The theme of this year’s meeting is Building Resilient Food Systems with Sweetpotato. Exciting activities planned for this year include an exhibition at the Mlimani Mall on the 24^th September, keynote addresses, panel discussions, and a World Café.  Approximately 100 participants are expected.  The SPHI Steering Committee and the SASHA Project Advisory Committee meetings will also be held during this week.

The SPHI is a multi-partner, multi-donor initiative that seeks to reduce child malnutrition and improve smallholder incomes in 10 million African families by 2020 through the effective production and expanded use of sweetpotato.
