Monitoring Learning & Evaluation Community of Practice Meeting
February 5, 2019 - February 6, 2019
The 2019 MLE CoP meeting will be held in Entebbe, Uganda on 5-6 February 2019 at the Imperial Golf View hotel, Entebbe. The MLE CoP was formed in March 2015 with the aim of creating a forum for the scientists and analysts involved in monitoring and evaluation work relating to sweetpotato in Sub-Sahara Africa (SSA). It has, over the years, provided a great platform for developing common and harmonized methodologies and tools for monitoring results in the region, and for joint learning and capacity building. Support for the establishment of this forum and the holding of annual CoP meetings is provided by the Sweetpotato Action for Security and Health in Africa (SASHA) Project, led by the International Potato Center with over 26 collaborating partners. The 2019 meeting will present the revised MLE manual and discuss updates, including new simplified strategies and tools for measuring sweetpotato production and yield performance in a smallholder farmer field setting. It will also highlight how findings from using the MLE manual can be presented as part of a baseline report.
