In both East and Central Africa, existing sweetpotato value chains face limitations such as how to improve the articulation between demand and supply for roots and planting materials. This brief demonstrate the strategies taken to scaling up technologies in orange fleshed sweetpotato (OFSP) using the agricultural innovation system to address food and nutrition security in this region. A key lesson gained is the importance of gender balance to impact actors and beneficiaries as this is will unlock constraints faced ensuring equitable benefits for all categories.,
