The recent drought experienced in southern and central Mozambique calls for mitigation strategies such as disseminating new varieties of orange fleshed sweetpotato (OFSP) with desired traits. This move presents unique challenge to improve household’s livelihood through Vitamin A intakes among other attributes. This brief outlines the achievements realized in this project such as the establishment of primary and secondary fields with quality planting material, capacity building training’s, and decentralized vine multipliers at community level (DVM).
