Vitamin A deficiency (VAD) is a significant public health problem in Kenya. Over the past years effort from mama SASHA project combined nutritional counseling linking antenatal and infant health services with OFSP dissemination and agricultural extension, which proved to be very effective in increasing both OFSP adoption and utilization of health services. SUSTAIN Kenya is building on these experiences to reach out as many poor households with OFSP vines and nutritional education. Achievements attained so far include the training of actor in community units and creation partnerships for value addition chain.
