Nigeria produces 3.9 Million metric tons/year of sweetpotato (SP) ranking second largest SP producing country in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Despite this huge produce, undernutrition is a challenge cause high mortality to under 5 year children. The Orange fleshed sweetpotato (OFSP) is a powerhouse that can address nutritional challenges. However, OFSP is relatively unknown among major stakeholders and general public. The reaching agent of change (RAC) was initiated to advocate for increased investment in OFSP to combat the nutritional limitation especially Vitamin a deficiency (VAD). In conclusion, the major achievement of RAC is emergence of Orange-fleshed sweetpotato from being relatively unknown in Nigeria to becoming part of its Agricultural Transformation Agenda.
