This manual contains ‘Everything you ever wanted to know about sweetpotato’. We hope that it will be useful for those involved in training extensionists and NGO staff at different levels, and that they in turn will train farmers in practical ways that help them to build their problem solving and decisionmaking skills so they can continue to learn, question, test and address different opportunities and challenges relevant to their livelihoods. In Volume 7, Topic 13: ‘Using the Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Sweetpotato ToT Course’ presents detailed programs for a 10 day and a 5 day learning-by-doing ToT course. They describe: the topics to be covered daily, intended learning outcomes, sequential activities and their timing, and materials and advanced preparations required. The programs can be adjusted to fit participants’ needs. Topic 14: ‘Reflections’ offers participants an opportunity to share their ideas on how the ToT manual can be improved. In the appendices, a range of useful tools and forms are provided.
