Orange-fleshed sweetpotato (OFSP) is an easy to grow, rich source of vitamin A and hence, is a cost-effective way to combat Vitamin A Deficiency in children under 5 years of age and women of reproductive age. The time is ripe to invest in programs that will make the benefits of OFSP available to millions of Africans at risk of VAD and malnutrition. This flyer is part of a toolkit that provides 14 two page flyers that provide basic facts and answer common queries asked about OFSP.
