This presentation gives an overview of sweetpotato for profits and health initiative (SPHI) phase 1 structure of operation. This includes their goal to reduce child malnutrition, region of operation, and achievements gained in first five years. Among the key things are the annual progress and communication briefs, case studies and lessons learned and release of orange fleshed sweetpotato (OFSP) varieties. The Reaching agents of change (RAC) initiative is included as well as highlights of five major sweetpotato action for security and health in Africa (SASHA) phase 1 programs. It concludes by showing the already tested product development systems, marketing and subsequent utilizations. Additionally, the sweetpotato knowledge portal is acknowledged the link through which knowledge gained is shared.
