African sweetpotato weevil Cylas puncticollis and C. brunneus are listed among key damaging pests almost declining sweetpotato (SP) production. Numerous advances have been made develop resistant SP varieties with limited success. This presentation describes the RNAi technology for insect control and protection to beneficial insects against pathogenic viruses, the work plan (WPs) carried out on the project, and conclude with the initial results for each WP.
