This presentation give an outline of different activities carried out in Rwanda with aim of developing commercial sweetpotato products. Through these activities, repositioning of both white and orange fleshed sweetpotato (OFSP) within rural, urban and semi urban markets was achieved. Some of most important steps include development of quality clean seed systems, vine distribution, development of vine conservation strategies and product development. In conclusion, a brief summary of achievements is outlined. Such include capacity building in product processing, product release, establishment of value chains, and release of publications.
