This presentation combines four aspects aimed at scaling up sweetpotato in Uganda. In the first case; nutrition led agriculture is demonstrated which highlights support through provision of clean materials, linking traders to marketing, promotions and breaking bottle necks. The second case promotes the Triple ‘‘S’’ method. This technology has potential to scale and build a cadre of trained extension personnel to monitor adoption. The third aspect compares yield between tissue culture and farmer own sourced vines. This aid appreciation of clean planting materials. Finally the fourth aspect discuss curing a technique to pro-long the shelf life roots without compromising the organoleptic characteristics.
