Presentation 2: Progress towards the SPHI goal of 10 million and purpose and how to use the monitoring manual

The presentation made during the 2017 MLE CoP meeting, outlines progress towards achieving the SPHI goal. For example, 2,895,381 households had been reached by September 2016, which is 29% of the SPHI goal. The area under sweetpotato has steadily risen, and it is growing faster than other staples. Jan Low also emphasizes the urgent need to develop a practical toolkit that focuses on the essential indicators for capture of progress in dissemination, yield improvement and key food security and nutrition indicators needed by the SPHI. She presents a flowchart on how to effectively use the M&E manual.
